Wired or wireless security, which is better?

There is no easy answer to this question as both styles of alarm systems have pros and cons and one setup may work perfectly in one home and be totally unsuitable for another. Wired vs wireless security

Wired security systems are hardwired to the electrical system and potentially the phone line in your building.

A wireless security system has no wires, or minimal wiring, connecting cameras, motion detectors, sensors and keypads to the building's power or phone systems. Some systems feature battery-powered components and wireless communication between those components and the recording equipment, keypad and alarm monitoring system.

The wireless option can be great for renters or those who would like to be able to take the security alarm and cameras with them when they sell their homes.

Wired provides a reliable communication and power system but can involve extensive work to go into the initial installation in existing buildings or homes
