Licensed venues in Queensland carry specific CCTV obligations under the Liquor Regulation 2002. Venues trading after 1am in the Brisbane City Council area, and any venue with a CCTV condition on its licence, must operate equipment that records images clearly, stores every recording for at least 28 days (and one year for recordings of incidents), and can produce a digital copy on request. Equipment must be checked before 12:30am each trading night and the check recorded in a register, faults must be repaired within 48 hours, and failing to comply carries a maximum penalty of $17,270. We design venue systems around those obligations from day one, so compliance is built in rather than bolted on.
The same rules require a licensed security equipment installer to certify a venue’s CCTV system every six months. Alltronic provides that certification: we inspect the system, verify recording quality, storage and coverage, provide the certificate for your records, and fix anything that puts compliance at risk, inside the 48-hour repair window the regulation allows. For venue operators this is one obligation handled on a schedule, by the same company that services the system.
Coverage is designed from how the venue actually runs: entries and exits, bars and tills, gaming areas, beer gardens, carparks and back-of-house. Cameras are positioned and specified so footage identifies faces and holds up when it matters, storage is sized to the retention rules, and live and recorded footage is available to managers on their phones. Our commercial security camera systems carry the detail through to brands and recorders.
Gaming areas, counting rooms and cash-handling points need coverage that is reliable, discreet and matched to the conditions on the venue’s licence. We design and install camera coverage for gaming rooms as part of the venue system, so one recorder and one interface covers the whole site.
We install hotel key card systems for guest rooms and access control for everywhere guests should not be: cellars, offices, storerooms, gaming storage and staff areas. Access is managed per person rather than per key, which means a departed staff member is removed in seconds and every door movement is a record. This work sits alongside our commercial access control systems.
For accommodation hotels and motels, security is part of the guest experience: key card door locks on rooms, room intercom systems, corridor and lift CCTV, and monitored building alarms. We design coverage that protects guests and property while staying discreet, and we install and service the room-level hardware as well as the building systems.
Venue alarm systems protect the building after close: bars, gaming rooms, cellars and offices armed as zones, on commercial alarm platforms specified to the venue.
