The Australian-made Bosch Solution 6000 is our hardwired panel of choice for homes. It runs day, night and part-arm areas, and is controlled from the MyAlarm iFob Control app wherever you are. Hardwired reliability suits new builds, renovations and homes where cabling can be run cleanly.
Ajax is the wireless alarm system we specify for external detection and for homes where cabling is impractical. Battery-powered outdoor detectors cover yards, sheds, carports and building perimeters without a cable run, alerting you before anyone reaches the house, and the same wireless range protects established homes. Detectors have multi-year battery life and report to the Ajax app with the same immediacy as a hardwired system.

Our technicians then handle the full installation, and the programming: zones, arming modes, entry delays and app alerts, set up for how your household lives. Every device is tested and the system commissioned on the day. More detectors, two-storey construction and back to base monitoring change the price, and your quote is fixed before any work begins.
An unmonitored siren relies on someone nearby acting. With back to base monitoring, every alarm event reports to a 24-hour control room, where operators verify the event and act on it. Self-monitoring sends events straight to your phone and suits households who want to be notified of their alarm system activity without control room support. Both options work with Bosch and Ajax systems, and you can move between them as your needs change.
What happens when your alarm is triggered
Operators call your contact list in order until someone answers, and notify the police when a break in is suspected.
A lot of Brisbane homes with an alarm are carrying one that is ten or more years old: a keypad that beeps for reasons nobody remembers, a dead backup battery, a dialler that stopped reporting when the copper network was switched off. Our servicing team works on most alarm brands, so the first step is an honest assessment of what you have. Where the panel is worth keeping, we repair and recommission it. Where it is at end of life, we replace it with a Bosch Solution 6000 or Ajax system, reusing existing cabling and detector positions where they still serve the specification, and we decommission and remove the old equipment properly.

A monitored security alarm system reports every alarm event to someone who acts on it. With back to base monitoring, that is a 24-hour control room that verifies the event and follows your agreed response plan. With self-monitoring, events go straight to your phone. An unmonitored system sounds its sirens only.
Detectors at doors, windows and inside rooms report to a control panel. When the system is armed and a detector triggers, the panel sounds internal and external sirens, and sends the event to your phone or a monitoring control room. A burglar alarm, intruder alarm and home security alarm are the same system under different names. Arming modes let the system protect the perimeter while people are inside.
A professionally installed home alarm system starts from $2,629 including GST for a four-detector Ajax wireless system, or $2,815 including GST for a four-detector hardwired Bosch Solution 6000 system. Both prices cover the full package: panel, code pad, four detectors, internal and external sirens, programming, commissioning and training at handover. The final price is driven by the number of detectors, hardwired or wireless equipment, the construction and layout of the home, and whether you add back to base monitoring. Every system is quoted as a fixed price before work begins.
Some insurers have offered premium discounts for back to base monitored alarm systems for many years. Increasingly, we also see policies that specify back to base monitoring of the alarm system, and sometimes of smoke alarms as well. Check your policy or ask your insurer, and if monitoring is specified, our team can set it up as part of the installation.
Both protect equally well when specified properly. Hardwired systems like the Bosch Solution 6000 suit new builds, renovations and homes where cabling can be run cleanly, and never need detector batteries changed. Wireless systems like Ajax suit established homes, difficult cable runs and outdoor detection, and install with minimal disruption. Many homes use a mix.
Most home alarm installations are completed in a single visit, including programming, testing and your handover walkthrough. Larger homes and integrated systems can take longer, and we confirm the timeframe with your quote.
Every system we install includes a standby battery, so the alarm stays armed and reporting through a Brisbane storm-season outage. Battery health is checked whenever the system is serviced.
Yes, with the owner’s approval. An Ajax wireless system installs without cabling, and the detectors and hub can move with you at the end of the lease.
