Most businesses need an alarm that arms reliably at close, reports every night, tells the business what happened and keeps doing that for years. That is what we specify for shops, offices, clinics, workshops and small warehouses: robust, proven equipment at a price that makes sense for the site. The Bosch Solution 6000 is the Australian-made panel we have installed in more Brisbane premises than any other, with areas that arm independently, individual staff codes with open and close history, and the MyAlarm app on the manager’s phone. Ajax is our wireless system for leased premises and retrofits, installed with minimal cabling, reporting over the internet with 4G backup, and run from one app. Both are business security alarm systems in the full sense: partitioned, monitored, and managed by our service department for their working life. This is the same care we bring to every commercial security system we design.
Where a site has many doors, many users, high-value zones or compliance obligations, intrusion detection becomes one layer of a platform. Inner Range Inception runs access control, intrusion and automation for small and medium commercial sites from a browser, and Integriti carries the same approach across multiple buildings on a single user database. The Ajax Superior range brings Grade 3 compliance to higher-risk commercial sites, with Ajax Fibra running the same devices over cable where a site requires it. On these systems an alarm event arrives with context: the door that was forced and the credential that was used, in one record. Tecom Challenger panels have protected Australian commercial and corporate sites for decades, and the current ChallengerPlus range integrates intrusion, access control and video in one interface with the TecomPlus app. We install and service Tecom systems and take over existing Challenger installations.
Wireless commercial alarm systems on Ajax’s encrypted Jeweller radio, with the Hub 2 Plus for small and medium premises and the Superior range carrying Grade 3 compliance for higher-risk sites. Detectors run for years on their own batteries, the hub reports over internet with 4G backup, and jamming or tampering raises an alert the moment it starts. Our technicians are Ajax certified installers across the wireless range, Fibra and Ajax CCTV.
The Australian-made panel we have installed since 1994 and the backbone of our small-site commercial work. Up to 144 zones and eight independently armed areas, individual codes with full event history, integrated proximity readers at the keypad, and the MyAlarm app. Where a site needs a handful of controlled doors alongside the alarm, the 6000 does both from one panel.
Every commercial alarm system we install starts with our team on site. Trading hours, staff movement, after-hours access, cash handling, high-value stock and compliance obligations shape the specification: which areas arm independently, who holds codes and what history the business needs, how arming schedules follow the operating day, and which counters, consulting rooms and lone-worker roles need a duress button or a wearable device. A cafe that closes at 3pm, a warehouse with a 5am dispatch and a medical centre with a drug safe are programmed three different ways. The result is an alarm system that fits the business.
Detection is where a commercial intruder alarm system earns or loses its keep, so every commercial burglar alarm system we install is specified zone by zone. Passive infrared (PIR) and dual-technology detectors cover offices, showrooms and stock rooms. Door and roller-door contacts report every entry point, glass-break detectors cover shopfronts, and vibration detectors protect safes and cabinets. External beams and outdoor detectors extend coverage across yards and loading areas, and across warehouse floors, yards and long approaches we program cameras with video analytics as detectors, integrated into the alarm system so a camera event triggers the alarm like any other zone. The strongest position to detect an intrusion is while the intruder is still outside. A perimeter alarm system puts detection across fence lines, yards, loading docks and approaches, so movement is identified before the building is reached, giving the control room and patrol a head start and protecting the assets that never sit indoors: vehicles, plant, stock in yards. Perimeter intrusion detection (PIDS) is engineered per site alongside the internal system, from external beams and outdoor detectors to fence-line detection, and where cameras cover the perimeter they are programmed as detectors on the same alarm system. Perimeter security is specified from the site layout and the risk it carries.
What that looks like on the ground: photoelectric beams along a fence line or across a driveway, outdoor detectors on loading docks and yard corners, and fence intrusion detection on sites where the boundary itself is the asset. Each detection point is a zone on the alarm system, armed on the site’s schedule and reporting to the same control room as the internal system, so a perimeter event is verified and acted on the same way as a door being forced. Yards holding vehicles, plant, fuel or stock are where perimeter alarm systems earn their place, and on those sites the perimeter is usually the first thing we design.

A commercial alarm that nobody answers is a siren. Our monitored systems report to an A1 graded control room 24 hours a day, where operators work your response plan: verify, call key-holders in order, dispatch a patrol, escalate to police. Every step is logged with the time, the action and the outcome. 4G reporting is installed as standard on every monitored commercial alarm, so the system keeps talking to the control room when the internet or NBN drops, and backup batteries keep it running through a power cut. Alongside the control room, the Bosch MyAlarm or Ajax app gives the business its own view of the system: arming state, events and which code armed or disarmed each area. Large sites with separate buildings run through the same system and report to the same response plan. Commercial alarm installation is a licensed trade in Queensland, and every commercial security alarm system we install is put in by our licensed technicians under both a security licence and an electrical licence, which means the cabling, the power and the panel are one job under one contractor. We design the system from the site assessment, install and commission it, program areas, codes and schedules, connect monitoring, and train your staff to arm, disarm and manage users day to day. Installations are scheduled around trading, so a shop keeps trading and a warehouse keeps dispatching while the work is done.
Ajax brings the same engineering to fire. FireProtect detectors combine smoke and heat sensing with a built-in sounder and report to the same hub and app as the intrusion system. Ajax also produces a dedicated EN 54 certified wireless fire detection line for commercial buildings: a fire hub, addressable detectors, sounders and manual call points. We design the alarm alongside the rest of the site’s security, so the alarm, the cameras and the access control work as one system. Commercial security cameras are programmed as detectors and integrated into the alarm system, and with camera monitoring the control room checks the footage before a patrol is dispatched. Access control shares users and schedules with the alarm, so a valid credential disarms the area it opens and the system arms itself at a set time. Commercial intercoms let staff see and speak to a visitor before a door is released. Every one of these can be added later on the same platform, which is why the alarm is specified with the whole commercial security system in view.
We service and repair commercial alarms, including systems installed by others. A takeover starts with an inspection: sound cabling and detection are retained, end-of-life panels are upgraded to a current Bosch, Ajax, Inner Range or Tecom platform, and monitoring is reconnected. Scheduled servicing keeps monitored systems reporting and finds battery and communication faults early.

Most small businesses need a reliable alarm with a few areas, staff codes, an app and back-to-base monitoring, and a Bosch Solution 6000 or Ajax small business alarm system does that well. What we work through at the site assessment is what the business needs the system to do: which areas matter, whether anyone needs a record of who came and went, and whether access control or cameras will join the system later. That decides the platform, and a small site sometimes needs a more capable one than a larger site does.
We highly recommend it. An unmonitored alarm only makes noise; a monitored one gets a response. Every commercial alarm we install can report to our A1 graded control room, where a trained operator works your response plan the moment the alarm triggers, after hours, over holiday shutdowns and any other time nobody is on site. Yes. Every panel we install carries a backup battery that keeps the alarm running through a mains failure, and monitored systems report over 4G, so the link to the control room holds through a dropped internet connection or an NBN outage.
