Suprema builds the biometric readers and access control platforms behind what the company puts at more than 1.5 million installations worldwide, and Alltronic designs, installs and supports them on commercial sites across Brisbane and South East Queensland. We build Suprema systems on the BioStar platform, from a single controlled door to multi-site networks, and we run BioStar on live sites of our own, including an Australian first.

Suprema is the biometrics specialist in our brand line-up. Founded in 2000 in South Korea, the company sells into more than 140 countries and has been named a Top 50 Global Security Company every year from 2011 to 2025 (A&S International). Where our camera brands lead with vision, Suprema leads at the door: facial authentication, fingerprint readers, card and mobile credentials, and the BioStar software that manages them all. On commercial projects it earns its specification through accuracy at the reader and a certified, open platform behind it, which is why it anchors so much of our commercial access control work.
BioStar is Suprema’s management platform family, and the right edition depends on how the site wants to run.
BioStar 2 is the established platform: web-based, open and integrated, with access control at the core and time and attendance and visitor management available as modules. It runs centralised through Suprema’s CoreStation controller or distributed to intelligent readers, carries an open API and SDKs for integration, and is certified to AES-256, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701.
BioStar Air is the cloud platform. Readers connect directly to the cloud, so there is no on-site server, installation is a single cable per door, and management happens from a browser anywhere. Suprema rates its facial matching at around 0.2 seconds, enrolment can be done remotely from a phone, and mobile credentials are issued free through the Suprema Pass app. The platform stores encrypted biometric templates and never keeps a raw image of a face.
BioStar X is the newest of the three, released in November 2025. It is an on-premises platform that unifies access control with live video and AI detection in one monitoring console, and it scales from five doors to two thousand.
Suprema’s flagship face recognition terminal authenticates moving faces within 0.2 seconds and reads face, mobile (NFC and BLE), QR and barcode, RFID cards and PIN on the one device. It holds up to 100,000 users and is rated IP65 and IK06, so it works at exposed entries as well as lobbies.
Suprema’s fingerprint line covers outdoor-rated IP readers that combine fingerprint and RFID in one unit, suited to doors where the credential must stay with the person. They run on the same BioStar platform as every other reader on the site.
XPass is Suprema’s compact outdoor RFID line for card and fob doors. It gives lower-risk doors an economical reader while the site’s critical entries carry biometrics, all managed together in BioStar.
Corner Store 24, the staffless store we designed and built, runs on BioStar: BioStation 3 facial terminals and XPass readers control who enters and when, as part of a fully integrated camera, alarm and access system. It is an Australian first, and BioStar also runs day to day on other sites we manage. When we recommend Suprema, it is a platform our own projects depend on.
The same readers that secure the doors can run the clock. BioStar 2’s time and attendance module records every start and finish at the reader, applies the site’s roster rules, and reports hours out to payroll, with a fingerprint or a face confirming that the person clocking in is the person rostered on. For sites that carry both needs, one Suprema system does both jobs.
Alltronic has designed, installed and monitored commercial security across Brisbane and South East Queensland since 1992, with systems supported nationally. Every Suprema installation starts with a site walk: doors ranked by risk, the right credential matched to each entry, and the BioStar edition chosen for how the site wants to manage it. Our technicians hold security and electrical licences, and the same team that installs the system services it.

I’ve been using Alltronic Security Group for about three years for my home CCTV and duress alarm system and couldn’t be happier with the service, product quality, and professionalism. Reliable companies like this are hard to find, so I highly recommend them and will continue using their services.Posted on Google![]()

Requested to install security system initially with only one camera. This was completed very efficiently. Any issues with Wifi were resolved to make it work. Further to above we requested additional cameras which were completed and they checked every step of the way if we were happy with location and position. Again one camera location was setup with minimal access back to base with there in depth knowledge of how to make the system work. We thank Shane and Flynn for what they have achieved on our site. Highly recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I recommend Alltronic! I contacted Alltronic (as I prefer to support local businesses) to reconnect an existing intercom system. They were honest and told me I probably didn't need this done as the door installers would likely do this, but that I can call back if the door installers can't reconnect the intercom/strike connection. The quoted fees to do a reconnection seemed reasonable and the staff very helpful and thorough. When I do need intercom or security needs, I will definitely call Alltronic. Emily was my contact person and she followed up on all my enquires and liaised with the door installation contractor.Posted on Google![]()

We have just had our latest installation of cameras fitted by Alltronic & I wouldn't think of using anyone else. Over the past 20 years we have had cameras & alarms fitted by Ray & Shane & their knowledge of these systems is second to none. The professionalism & expertise of Anthony & staff in fitting the cameras was top class & their instructions on the operation of our latest cameras was beyond helpful. Mike McManus. Shane and the team installed smoke and motion detectors, door and window beams, internal and external camera's, sirens and a fob entry system to our new facility. The installation was completed without any disruption to our operations and handover training provided us with the confidence to manage the new systems immediately. We now have confidence that our facility and operations are secured. This is the second installation Alltronic Security Group has provided and due to their professionalism and market competitiveness I will contract them again when the need arises.Posted on Google![]()

Suprema Inc., a South Korean company founded in 2000. Suprema sells access control and biometric systems in more than 140 countries and has been named a Top 50 Global Security Company every year from 2011 to 2025 by A&S International.
BioStar 2 runs on a server at the site or on your own infrastructure, and suits organisations that keep systems in-house. BioStar Air runs entirely in the cloud: readers connect directly, there is no server to maintain, and administrators manage doors, users and credentials from a browser. Both manage Suprema’s biometric and RFID readers.
Three reasons come up consistently: biometric accuracy at the reader, a platform certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 with AES-256 encryption, and an open API that lets access control integrate with cameras, alarms and building systems. When a consultant’s design names Suprema, those are usually the reasons behind it.
Yes. BioStar 2 carries an open API and SDKs for integration with commercial camera systems and alarm platforms, and BioStar X brings live video and AI detection into the same monitoring console natively. We design the integration as part of the installation, the way our own BioStar sites run. Facial recognition on cameras is a separate discipline from facial authentication at the door, and our facial recognition cameras page covers it.
Alltronic Security Group. We design, install and support Suprema access control for commercial sites across Brisbane and South East Queensland, we run BioStar on sites we manage, and we built an Australian-first staffless store on it.
